Sherlock’s daughter

Amelia travels from America to London to seek out the great Sherlock Holmes.  She doesn’t come with a case for him to crack, but with a secret, she is his daughter.  

But she doesn’t find the great detective, she finds a man constrained by circumstance and powerless to pursue the series of disappearances happening on his doorstep.  

He is also incapable of paternal affection, accepting her in the only way he knows how, as a fellow detective.
